I hope you all had a spectacular Diwali and wish that your lives are filled with boundless growth, endless knowledge and countless success for years to come.

For us, at SMBConnect, this festival of lights ushered in a new milestone with the successful conclusion of the maiden chapter of Advaita awards ceremony on 25th October, 2018 in Jaipur. The awards were the grandest celebration of the splendour of women entrepreneurs in Rajasthan till date and the appreciation and applauds we received post awards ceremony were overwhelming and encouraging beyond words. Beginning with Rajasthan, we endeavour to organise these awards pan India to lift many more women out of gender-based roadblocks and to unleash the hidden potential of many others and we will continue to spearhead the change until we forge a world where women are deemed to be on par with men in the business arena.

Festivals like Diwali and Holi throw open opportunities for businesses to engage and connect better with their employees. I believe that in today’s world, where employees spend most of their time at work, celebration of festivals at offices is of paramount importance to foster bonds amongst employees and to raise their affinity towards the company and its culture. It also goes without saying that engaged employees have a direct impact on business performance and growth.

Businesses resort to innovative activities like office decorations, specially sponsored lunch, puja at office, family days, DJ parties, customised awards such as best dressed males and females in ethnic wear, rangoli competition and other contests, best decorated bays, etc. to nurture team spirit and to forge a sense of camaraderie among employees. They are also moving beyond sweets and dry fruits towards corporate gifting of technology gadgets, crockery, designer apparel, free holiday packages, and gift hampers to express gratitude and appreciation and to generate goodwill among peers and employees.

We, at SMBConnect, have a formal Diwali puja at our office, followed by a DJ party to capitalize on the festive spirit in order to keep our employees happy. I am keen to know how you celebrate festivals at your workplace and I would be more than glad if you could share with us a few pictures of the Diwali celebrations at your office.

Best Regards,
