Voice of Advaita

Archana Jain
Owner and Nutritionist - Angel Care Wellness Centre

When I was in school, I always used to say "Bade hokar teacher Banoongi" I was passionate about studies but also love to do sports dance, music guiding, NCC, Red Cross social service through leoclub etc. etc., I mean I was interested in everything that is happening around me.

I chose to do M.Sc. in foods and nutrition, because I wanted to study hard and contrary to popular belief it’s a very very challenging and difficult subject. But I passed it with flying colours, when I was doing this course, I used to dream of having my own clinic and work as a nutritionist which was soon shattered as the society was not ready to consult a dietician for their diets.

I got an opportunity to work in an NGO run by RUWA as a social counsellor. Then for few years, I worked as a marketing professional with the DSA of Citibank. Meanwhile got married to an engineer who is a genius in designing and automation also become a mother of an adorable son who is a economic graduate now.
In the year 1999 I joined a weight management clinic as clinic head, and again the desire to become a teacher or counsellor and have my own clinic inflamed.
So I decided to follow my passion which was ingrained in me by my parents, they were the first Gurus to teach me about importance of good nutrition good lifestyle, staying healthy in a natural way. I followed my dream and decided to have my own clinic. But space and finance was an issue. I consulted many people but my husband only saved me with the finances, and by the grace of God I could find space in the basement of my own building. This was the time when my family and friends helped me shape-up the clinic. I realised that some external force was helping me too, by putting things fall in its place automatically.
There was a grand inauguration, and with good blessings it all started very smoothly. But to keep it going, I had to work hard. I decided to put less money into marketing so that I can charge less from my patients. My passion and dedication started giving results and people were very happy with my diets and their results, so their word of mouth became my marketing strategy, and till date it is the same. Since I belong to Jaipur, I have a big social network here, this helped me a lot in the beginning, and my teachers also talked good about me and gave me advice when needed.
My knowledge, compassion, dedication empathy, friendly behaviour, passion for work, honesty had gradually created a goodwill and a name in the market, as a pioneer of the profession.

Society also gradually changed, in between and demand for a personal diet from a professional and qualified dietician has grown leaps and bounds.
I made so many good friends in this journey. I feed proud to be known as a dietician of who's who of Jaipur. Now with the help of social networking technologies I have patients all around the world and all major cities of India.

My passion to learn everything, believe in myself and follow my dreams has made me who I am today. I wish this shall never end.
Today I am a proud owner of 'Angel Care Wellness Centre' situated in Bapu Nagar, Jaipur for past 15 years.

I am thankful to FORTI and SMBConnect for the Advaita award for 'Self Employed Professional'. This will help me better serve my fellow Jaipurites, citizens of India and other countries worldwide.
