Jayant is a senior sales and marketing professional with over 20 years of experience in leadership roles in Consumer Electronics, Telecom and Software industries with leading Indian and Global corporations.
After completing MBA from a premier business school (IMT Ghaziabad) in 1987, he started his professional journey with ONIDA, a leading consumer electronic brand, as an management trainee. At ONIDA (7 years), he was groomed into a high performing executive under the mentorship of some very successful sales and marketing professionals. His desire to contribute to the growth of new and mid-sized businesses took him to Panasonic & BPL (focusing on launch and growth driven initiatives), LG (emerging domain of electronic commerce),Airtel&HFCL Infotel (transition to a fast growing industry in leadership roles), then to Autodesk (managing India &Saarc region for a world leader) and finally, bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, he moved to Milagrow last year.
At Milagrow, he is a Principal Partner working towards growing the business locally and creating a footprint internationally for the company’s portfolio of consumer robots and tablets. It’s a tremendous opportunity to build an enterprise while managing a different set of challenges at a start-up stage.
Over the years, Jayant have worked hard to hone his knowledge and also picked up new skills along the way. As a result, he has strong global/local experience, coupled with strong business acumen, good experience in business strategy, ROI-driven growth initiatives, product/brand management, corporate communications and people management. Having worked in both B2B and B2C environments with start ups as well as better known brands, Jayant is at ease in a business environment of any size and dynamics. He has significant leadership experience in driving growth initiatives and partnering with business on strategic and “critical to success” marketing issues. Fostering open communication, building trust and credibility and ability to influence stakeholders across diverse geographies and business cultures, are amongst his key skills. His unique value-add is to drive and get results from being able to bridge the gaps between strategy and execution. As a senior leader, he is a coach and mentor to many talented professionals. He has been fortunate to work with some very good leaders & visionaries and as a senior leader, he is keen to mentor and coach many more talented professionals and also contribute to the social initiatives of a few NGOs.
He lives with his family in New Delhi, while his workplace is in Gurgaon. His hobbies include reading management content (devouring is perhaps a more appropriate word) and he loves to spend quality time with his family, which also includes playing badminton with his daughters and travelling on holidays in India and abroad.
